About the Program
The month of Ramadan serves as an opportunity for Mahija to expand its impact and reach more waste workers in the field. Through a collaboration with Coca-Cola Indonesia, Mahija has launched the Ramadan Sharing Program as a form of direct support for waste picker communities in the Collection Center (CC) and Collection Partner (CP) areas within the Amandina Bumi Nusantara value chain.
This program is designed to help meet basic needs while providing moral support to informal waste collectors who continue to work during the month of Ramadan. Support is provided in the form of iftar meal packages and basic food packages distributed to waste collectors at several CC and CP locations.
Through this initiative, Mahija aims not only to give back during Ramadan but also to strengthen a collaborative approach to creating a more inclusive and humane recycling system. This program is part of Mahija’s ongoing efforts to ensure that waste workers also benefit from the ecosystem they support every day.
