Supporting Better Waste Collection and Protected Workers
The Mahija Parahita Nusantara Foundation works upstream in the recycling chain to strengthen the PET plastic bottle collection process, support the informal workers involved in it, and build cross-sector partnerships to ensure that recycling runs more smoothly, safely, and responsibly.
Our Approach
To realize our vision, Mahija takes a strategic approach that targets key points in the supply chain. We work from upstream to downstream, ensuring that change occurs not only in field practices, but also in community empowerment and policy advocacy.
